Buying vintage. Tips from Alanna aka @ecowildchild

-Always make sure your vintage is as fabulous as you are and even if you’re not feeling particularly fabulous that day, rock it and you’ll feel 100% better, like me in this beautiful vintage blouse from @wyldesydevintage

-Just because something is vintage doesn’t mean you have to buy it. I still like to mix the old with the new.

-Buy good quality over quantity. Something you’ll love forever. Think rule of 30. Will you wear it 30 times or more?

- Find yourself a good tailor/seamstress. If something doesn’t fit quite right, you can always have it amended (depending on fabric and sizing, obvs)

-shopping second-hand and vintage is so much fun, as you can find original pieces that will be show stoppers and means you get to play dress-up like @bjonesstyle recommends!

-Be freakin’ fabulous!

Can’t believe how it’s creeping up to October

Can’t believe how it’s creeping up to October already?! Madness, right?! I’ve actually washed and dressed, and done something relatively nice with my hair for the first time in a long time. In the tradition that is Secondhand September, I’m wearing all old and vintage pieces. The only things I’d guess you may be able to buy are the earrings from @missomalondon necklace from @littlejoyjeweller and the lovely, stretchy jeans (perfect for my current waistline!) are from @universalstandard
